RCG is a non-profit organization working towards full-membership in USA Gymnastics. RCGC now offers Cheer Tumbling classes and All-Star competitive cheer teams.
RCG accepts both male and female gymnasts from ages 2 through 18. Placement in the different classes are based upon skill level, age and other factors and is entirely at the coach's discretion. Children must be able to maintain attention for the duration of the class.
Levels of gymnastics class include Tumbling Tots, Beginner, Advanced Beginner, Intermediate and Open. In Open, the class focuses on learning routines and advanced skills in preparation for competition. Participation in the competitive meets is strictly up to you and your gymnast.
RCG Cheer programming accepts both male and female participants, generally from ages 3 through 18. Our Tumbling class accepts all levels Beginners Level I, Adv. Beginners Level I, Intermediates Level II, Adv. Level III/IV and focuses on skill development, strengthening and conditioning. The All-Star Cheer Teams focus on routines and advanced skills in preparation for competition and members are required to attend the Tumbling class.
Classes are held in the Gymnastics Gym of the Summit Activities Center, 1801 Summit, Yankton. The gym is located towards the back of Summit Activities Center. You can ask for directions at the front desk.
Parents are welcome to observe any class and are encouraged to do so occasionally to monitor your gymnast's progress. Coaches are available after class to answer questions and discuss any concerns.
